CIA

Today in class we visited the CIA website and looked at life expectancy and explored all about the website. I now found out that the U.S is in 42 for life expectancy with males having 78 years now instead of 77. Here are notes from class.
  • Crude birth rate: number of births per 1000 of the population
  • Crude death rate: number of deaths per 1000 of the population
Rate of natural increase
  • Produced by subtracting the death rate from the birth rate
  • This give us the annual natural growth rate- in percentage form - for a country or region
  • Immigration- coming into a country - written as a positive number
  • emigration- leaving the country - written as negative number
